Promises of integrity by German companies

Integrity is necessary for sustainable economic success. But how credible are the integrity promises of German corporations?

For 17 DAX companies, integrity is part of their corporate values, with only four of them providing concrete details on implementation in their annual reports. These four companies, Daimler, Deutsche Bank, Siemens and Volkswagen, are currently suffering or have suffered massively in the past from a lack of integrity. In the case of the other 13 companies, one can rather speak of an empty phrase or an in vogue campaign as a valuable signal for investors.
