What will happen to Ukraine?

The Minsk II Agreement is a tactical pause in combat. Russia will not reveal either the Crimea or the land gains in eastern and southern Ukraine.

As long as the Putin era lasts, it is very probable that Putin will keep the Ukrainian conflict at bay by accepting deliberately inserted pauses in fighting. He needs this conflict in order to derive domestic political pressure for economic structural reforms from foreign policy.
