Trade dispute defused for the time being

The results of the planned negotiations between the US and the EU are open. It is premature to speak of a breakthrough or a day for free trade. 

For the course of the forthcoming negotiations between the US and the EU, economic pressure within the United States is likely to be decisive, but also the question of whether Trump can release some of this pressure through successful trade negotiations with China. The negotiation situation is unclear in terms of game theory, especially as it is questionable whether all EU countries will agree to the trade policy goals now announced.
