To the federal election: The uprising of the abandoned pupil

The liberal constitutional state of mature citizens has helped its inhabitants to previously unknown prosperity. But the liberal constitutional state cannot warm the heart like the guardian welfare state, which cares for its relatives like the guardianship authority for their ward.

In two legislative periods, "grand coalitions" of the CDU/CSU and SPD, together with like-minded opposition parties, have anchored the protective welfare state even more deeply in the minds of many citizens. But they hit their wards deep into their hearts when they preferred immigrants from foreign cultures. In the medium term, a left-green-socialist alliance of the SPD, Greens and Left Party could reconcile the abandoned wards with the welfare state that protects them. The resulting economic decline could open the door for liberalism for a fourth time - or close it forever.
