The extension of sanctions against Russia

The EU foreign ministers unanimously extended the economic sanctions against Russia. They stress that there will be no relaxation of the sanctions until the Minsk peace plan for Eastern Ukraine has been implemented.

It is true that the sanctions have caused economic damage. Russia has not, however, returned to the basis of the Helsinki Final Act through the sanctions, but is preparing for a decade of economic sanctions.
