The economic and political situation of the European Union

In the trade dispute between China and the USA, the European Union is in a very weak position, both economically and politically. This is all the more problematic because the trade dispute between China and the US is not a normal trade dispute, but a geopolitical conflict between an emerging new superpower with hegemonic claims and an established old or older hegemonic power.
