Star economists and the European left-wing populists

Nobel laureate and star economist Paul Krugman divides his colleagues into two categories.

On the one hand, there are the stupid freshwater economists, most of whom come from Chicago on Lake Michigan and are engaged in supply policy. On the other side are the good saltwater economists who, like himself, teach at an elite university on the east coast and are committed to an aggressive demand policy.
