Law and EMU

If the search for a compromise between Greece and the rest of the euro countries failed, this would be the first serious conflict in the young history of EMU that would not be resolved by bending the law.

If laws and rules are not observed, this is not primarily due to the character of the individual actors involved, but to a wrong system of rules. The many breaches of rules and regulations in the euro zone since 2010 show the errors in the EMU rule system.
