Growth as a goal for society as a whole

Macroeconomic planning without a microeconomic foundation leads to the crisis. The widely lamented investment gap and weak growth show that this is currently the case.

The father of the German economic miracle, Ludwig Erhard, rejected economic growth as an economic policy goal. Prosperity for all is not made possible by the stability and growth policies of governments and central banks, but by the protection of individual freedom and the absence of financial repression.
