Will the "new cultural struggle" lead to alternatives for Germany?

The electoral successes of the AfD have so far not led to a different policy in Germany, but to the continuation of the current policy in a different colour. The "new culture struggle" of the AfD ignores the core of the "old culture struggle" of the Left, which since the 1950s has gradually but lastingly changed Western societies.
